As an OBIEE developer one should have the experience working during these phases – design, development, testing and implementation. Sometimes there is participation in requirements gathering phase but more chances are to work in the refining these requirements. The general OBIEE project life cycle is explained in the following points:
-Initiation or Inception Phase: This phase includes business case creation, project planning and also feasibility study.
-Elaboration or Planning Phase: This phase includes resource planning. It also includes requirement gathering and analysis.
-Execution or Development Phase: It is involved with design and development. This phase is used most by the OBIEE developer.
-Closure Phase: This phase is also called as transition phase. It includes operations, deployment and maintenance.
